Anonymous asked: Who did u move on from if u dont mind my asking?
I really think youve missed the whole point and purpose of that last post there anon
To those who think you cant move on, you cant get through this, and that you cant continue living a healthy functioning life with out them… you bloody well can.
Theyre not air. You dont need them to live. They dont define you,
Nor do you define them. Our lives and relationships here are temporary and merely a means to help us attain jannah. If theyre truley good for us then we will be reunited in Jannah. If theyre not, youve made the right decision, stick to it and focus on yourself and your relationship with the only one worth persuing a relationship with; your creator.
I cant stress enough that if youre ever surrounded by someone or people who are hurting you, your imaan and your chances of being the best version of yourself, run. Nothing is worth risking your aakhirah over. Surround yourself with those who lift your spirits and remind you of Allah swt. Eat, breathe, live and pray positivity. Remove sin and sorrow from your life, even if these sins are disguised beautifully. Guys, we come from a long history of survivors and fighters, moving on ought to be a walk in the park and the least of our worries. Say alhamdulillah and continue on the beautiful journey that lays ahead of you.
For the first time in my life yesterday, a non mahram, non muslim male asked if he was allowed to extend his hand to me for a handshake. I was at a job interview and when I walked in the room and saw I was being interviewed by two females and one dude, my heart sank and I began panicking. When I thanked him and told him that was the first time someone had ever asked me that, he told me others need to become more culturally aware. As the interview progressed I gathered this guy had the ability to flick from street to formal in the flash of a second, much like myself. I also realised half way through the interview that this job wasn’t for me but didnt know how to tell them so I started answering my questions poorly in order to completely throw them off. At one point I actually answered a yes no question with ‘hell no’.
